If an artwork could ever give you a chill, it’s a sculpture by Laurent Pernot. His piece titled Self Portrait Face to a Winter Canvas features a life-sized replica of the Paris-based artist as he stands in front of a framed snowy scene. While that might sound innocuous, the artwork has a strange and surreal twist—the wintery mix is not just contained in the picture. Faux snow coats the figure and wood frame, as icicles dangle from the tip of his nose and hat.

‘End of the Line‘
Inspired by the awesome “End of Line” film about how the unsustainability of fish consumption, especially in western societies. I wanted to capture the sadness I feel about the fishing industry and over exploitation of the sea as a whole! We don’t need to eat fish if we can afford luxuries and computers, there’s other means of nutrition and we’ve completely depleted the fish stocks for communities who depend on it such as those poorer fishing villages of west African coastlines.
Even if you don’t feel strongly about personal diet having chain-linked effects upon the mindframe of your population and don’t feel like it’s relevant to your interests, do still watch this film because it’s beautifully made and can teach most people a lot about what is actually happening in the hush of society today.
